As I finished reading a celebrity baby blog, I realized that I hadn't updated my girls baby/big kid journals. It has been almost 3 years since I last wrote in them! I can't believe it's been that long! What a lot of memories that I missed writing about. Today, as I wrote, I am determined to continue to write in them at least once a month. Even if I have to set a reminder on my e-mail calendar!! I want my kids to be able to read and laugh at the stories my husband and I have written about them. I encourage you all to keep a journal for each of your kids. Writing in them at least once a quarter, and don't forget to add pictures!! I hope you all have a blessed and enjoyable Sunday!

Thought for Today: Mark 12:28-31
28 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”
29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[c] There is no commandment greater than these.”
I chose these verses because, yesterday my tire was very low. Several drivers got my attention and let me know. They didn't have to do that, they could have just kept on their way, instead, they acted in such a Godly manner. Jesus said to love thy neighbor as thyself and they showed me that even in today's sinful world, there are people who shine for Jesus! So thank you to all out there who love their neighbors just as Jesus commanded.
Have a blessed day!

Iron Women of the Word -- Take it to the Lord in Prayer

Thought for Today: Take it to the Lord in Prayer
What a Friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear, What a privilege to carry, everything to the Lord in Prayer -- these lines are from What a Friend We Have in Jesus, written by Joseph M. Scriven back in 1855. These famous words were written over 150 years ago, 156 years to be exact, and they are still so very true today! The Lord wants us to come to Him in prayer, not only in the good times, but all the time! He wants to be our number one, the One who we go to for everything. Prayer is our way of talking to our Heavenly Father. It also draws us closer to Him, strengthens our relationship, helps us grow. Praying daily to our Father will allow us to be a prayer warrior for others. Take time today and take it to the Lord in prayer.
Be blessed, stay encouraged and remember to pray!
