It's That Time of Year ...

It's been a while since I posted. Life has been hectic. Now that the weather has changed, that means more colds and the possibility of asthma attacks for my youngest. She had her most recent attack about 3 weeks ago.  She has really severe bouts of asthma during the fall and winter, mostly due to having a cold. I do have a problem though, with other parents sending their sick kids to school, and by sick I mean issues that require an antibiotic! Keep your kid home, even if you have to miss work and pay. It makes mine and my child's life easier and she stays healthier. My oldest had to miss a day because of a fever, yes a fever. She was not allowed back in school until she had been fever free for at least 48 hours. There goes her perfect attendance record, but oh well. If I helped another parent by keeping her home, then I am very glad.

Just last night, our youngest started feeling stuffy. Albuterol treatments started this morning. The Vicks Vaporizer started last night. We are praying that this cold goes away as quickly as it came. There was no time to do her pre-treatments for 10 days because the symptoms appeared over the course of 24 hours.

Dear Lord, be with us during this cold/flu season. Prepare us accordingly and if it is your will that you keep us as healthy as possible. In Jesus Name I Pray, Amen.
